In 2009, we were just two close friends with a love of fashion. Avid shoppers who grew weary of the high-end, high-priced luxury market, we set out to design some bags that were chic and edgy at reasonable prices. Refusing to sacrifice style, material or workmanship for the sake of affordability, we created a few timeless shapes with subtle details in the highest quality distressed and embossed leathers.
We began carrying some of our own designs, and were amazed by the rave reviews. Not only did friends and family want their own ROMYGOLD handbags, but strangers would stop us everywhere we went to compliment our bags – at the dentist, the hair salon, in high-end boutiques, restaurants, elevators, even public restrooms!
So ROMYGOLD officially began, and is already becoming a favorite among editors and stylists. The spring collection will be available at luxury boutiques and specialty retailers including Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Intermix, Harvey Nichols and shopbop.com.
